
Halevi Wins 500 Free on WVU Day One

Morgantown, W. Va. – The Seton Hall men's swimming and diving team finished up its first day of competition at the WVU Invite on Thursday night. Clil Halevi (Kafar Hadranim, Israel) nabbed a win for the Pirates, taking the top spot in the 500 Free.
Halevi clocked in with a time of 4:26.63 to claim the top spot in the event. This is the second straight season that Halevi has reached the championship final of the 500 Free at WVU. Halevi swam nearly four seconds faster this season than his third-place time last season in the event.
The Pirates also posted a strong showing in the 400 Medley Relay on Thursday night. The relay team of Chris Jackson (Maywood, N.J.), Ben Endersby (Caldwell, N.J.), Michael Klimaszewski (London, England) and Kevin Cary (West Chester, Pa.) combined for a time of 3:17.40 to claim fifth place in the event.
The Pirates return to action on Friday morning for the second day of the WVU Invite. Prelims get underway at 9:30 a.m., with finals set to begin at 6 p.m.
