Gray Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

The sophomore averaged a team-best 15.5 points per game and drained eight three-pointers last week.
NEW YORK – Seton Hall sophomore Micah Gray (Oklahoma, City, Okla.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

Gray continued the impressive start to her Seton Hall career last week, leading the Pirates with 15.5 points per game. On Wednesday at No. 25 Princeton, she erupted for a season-high 24 points on the strength of 7-for-13 shooting from three-point range. Her buzzer-beating three-pointer in front of the Pirates' bench sent the game into overtime. She also had six rebounds and two assists in the strong outing against a nationally-ranked opponent. On Saturday, Gray was needed far less, but still chipped in seven points, four rebounds and a team-high four steals.

Villanova's Lucy Olsen was named BIG EAST Player of the Week. Creighton's Brittany Harshaw was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. In addition to Gray, members of the Weekly Honor Roll include Butler's Rachel Kent, Georgetown's Kelsey Ransom, Marquette's Mackenzie Hare and St. John's Unique Drake.
