HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Senior Ludovica Busetto (Padova, Italy) shot a 1-over-par, 72, to lead the Seton Hall women's golf team to a fourth-place standing after 18 holes at the St. John's Invitational on Monday.

Busetto had four birdies and 10 pars to fuel her strong first round. Currently, she's tied for third place among 66 individual golfers. St. John's Jessie Kweon is the individual leader at 3-under-par.

As a team, The Hall shot a 14-over-par, 298, on Monday. Host St. John's is the team leader at 7-over-par. Columbia is second at 10-over-par and Albany is third at 11-over-par.

Only one stroke behind Busetto is junior Ginevra Zavagli (Rome, Italy). She had two birdies and 12 pars in route to a 2-over-par, 73, and is tied for eighth overall.

Sophomore Ana Sarrias Pro (Cadiz, Spain) had two birdies and is currently tied for 17^th place after a 5-over-par, 77.

Graduate student Sarah Fouratt (Santa Maria, Calif.) was one shot behind Sarrias Pro with a 6-over-par, 77. She's tied for 21^st place overall.

Rounding out the Pirates' lineup, freshman Lara Todorovic (Belgrade, Serbia) was 16-over-par with an 87.

Competing as an individual, freshman Anne-Sofie Ekman (Copenhagen, Denmark) was 14-over-par with an 85.

THE COURSE:
The magnificent golf course of The Saint Andrew's Golf Club has been shaped by the skill and imagination of three renowned designers over the course of its nearly 135 years of operation. Today's layout, a challenging 6614 yard, par 71,18 hole course rated at 145, is largely the product of a Jack Nicklaus Signature redesign undertaken over the years 1983-85. But a number of the original holes remain in play, largely unchanged. And a number of holes have been subsequently refined in an unceasing effort to enhance the aesthetic beauty of the course and enrich the playing experience.
THE FIELD
In addition to Seton Hall and host St. John's, the field is comprised of nine other teams including: Albany, Bucknell, Columbia, Fairfield, Hartford, Holy Cross, Quinnipiac, Siena and Wagner.

THE FORMAT
Teams will play five golfers and count the four lowest scores per round.

TEE TIMES
The field will play 18 holes each day. For round one, the Pirates will be paired with golfers from St. John's and Albany. There will be a shotgun start at 11:00 a.m. The shotgun start on Tuesday is at 9:30 a.m.
