- Winners of three straight and six of its last seven games, the Seton Hall men's basketball continues its road swing this week in Indianapolis as the Pirates take on Butler at 12 p.m. on Saturday.
- The Pirates have won five of their last seven games at Hinkle Fieldhouse and 11 of their last 14 games in the all-time series against the Bulldogs.
- The Pirates have swept the season series against the Bulldogs the last two seasons.
- Seton Hall has won by double digits in three of the last four meetings.
- The Hall is coming off of its third consecutive win with a 74-70 victory over Georgetown on Tuesday evening that moved the Pirates to 4-1 in the BIG EAST.
- Picked to finish ninth in the 11-team BIG EAST in the preseason, the Pirates are currently in a three-way tie for first place in the conference along with St. John's and UConn.
- Kadary Richmond has paced Seton Hall early on in BIG EAST play as he ranks fourth in the conference in scoring (18.6 ppg), 12th in rebounding (6.6 rpg), fifth in assists (5.2 apg) and first in steals (2.8 spg).
- Richmond was named BIG EAST Player of the Week on Monday after averaging 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game in two wins over ranked teams last week.
- Richmond now has three BIG EAST honors this season and it's his first career BIG EAST Player of the Week honor.
- Against Georgetown on Tuesday, Richmond scored 20 points, grabbed eight rebounds, dished out eight assists and converted a layup with 45 seconds left that gave Seton Hall a five-point lead.
- Seton Hall received votes in the AP Top 25 this week (34) for the first time since the final AP poll of the 2021-22 season.
- The Pirates are 3-2 this season against Quad 1 opponents.
- Seton Hall is one of only 18 teams in the country with at least three Quad 1 wins.
- Seton Hall is one of six teams in the country with multiple wins over teams ranked in the top 10 of the AP Top 25 along with Purdue (4), Kansas (2), UConn (2), Kentucky (2) and North Carolina (2).
- Of the Pirates' four wins in BIG EAST play, three have come against ranked opponents (No. 5 UConn, No. 23 Providence, No. 7 Marquette).
- The last time Seton Hall defeated three AP Top 25 teams in a three-week span was during the 2005-06 season when the Pirates knocked off No. 15 NC State on Jan. 25 (83-65) and No. 25 Syracuse on Jan. 29 (68-61) on the road before defeating No. 11 West Virginia on Feb 14 (71-64).
- Seton Hall's 4-1 start to BIG EAST play is its best since 2020-21 when the Pirates started 5-1.
- In conference games, the Pirates rank third in scoring defense (67.2 ppg) and fifth in both field goal defense (41 pct) and three-point defense (31 pct).
- Seton Hall's improvement on the defensive end of the floor was apparent in the wins over No. 5 UConn and No. 23 Providence where the Pirates held both opponents under 60 points and shooting percentages under 40 percent (UConn, 38 pct; Providence, 37 pct).
- The Pirates have also improved at the free throw line where they're shooting 76 percent as a team, a clip that ranks third in the BIG EAST and 33rd in the country.
- Al-Amir Dawes ranks 18th among active players in Division I in career three-point field goals made with 292.
- Jaden Bediako leads the BIG EAST and ranks fifth in Division I averaging 4.1 offensive rebounds per game.
- Dre Davis has scored in double-figures in each of the last six games and he's averaging 16.1 ppg.
- With 316 career assists at Seton Hall, Richmond ranks 16th on the program's all-time assists list.
- Richmond is also 13 points away from reaching 1,000 career points.
