Entering the week as one of the hottest teams in the country and the BIG EAST, the Seton Hall men's basketball team opens a three-game homestand on Tuesday night at Prudential Center as the Pirates host St. John's at 8:30 p.m.
Seton Hall is 7-1 at Prudential Center this season and it's 83-63 (.568) all-time in Newark against BIG EAST competition.
The Hall is coming off of its fourth consecutive win with a 78-72 victory at Butler on Saturday that gave the Pirates their fourth Quad 1 win of the season and it moved them to 5-1 in the BIG EAST.
Seton Hall is one of 10 teams in Division I to have at least four Q1 wins.
The Pirates' 4-2 (.667) record against Q1 opponents ranks 12th in the country.

Seton Hall received votes this week in the AP Top 25 for the second consecutive week, checking in at the 28th slot in the poll with 89 votes.
Seton Hall is one of seven teams in the country with multiple wins over top 10 teams along with Purdue (4), Kansas (2), UConn (2), Kentucky (2), TCU (2) and North Carolina (2).
Of the Pirates' five wins in BIG EAST play, three have come against ranked opponents (No. 5 UConn, No. 23 Providence, No. 7 Marquette).

Richmond repeated as BIG EAST Player of the Week on Monday after averaging 22 points, 10 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game in two road wins last week.
Richmond now has four BIG EAST honors this season and he's the first Pirate to win multiple BIG EAST Player of the Week awards since Sandro Mamukelashvili in 2020-21.
Richmond was elite in crunch time last week where he converted a layup with 45 seconds left that gave Seton Hall a five-point lead at Georgetown and he scored the go-ahead layup with 60 seconds left and made four consecutive free throws in the win at Butler.
Four of Richmond's seven career 20-point games have come in BIG EAST play this season.
Seton Hall ranks 10th in KenPom's DI experience metric (3.05 years) and that experience has been key during its four-game win streak where all four games have been decided by single digits.
The Pirates are 4-0 this season in games decided by five points or less and 6-2 in games decided by 10 or less.
The Hall is 11-0 this season when leading at halftime.
The Pirates are shooting 77 percent as a team from the free throw line, a clip that ranks third in the BIG EAST and 23rd in the country.
