Richmond Named BIG EAST Player of the Week

NEW YORK -- Senior Kadary Richmond (Brooklyn, N.Y.) has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week after averaging 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game in two wins over ranked teams last week for the Seton Hall men's basketball team.
This is Richmond's third BIG EAST honor this season and his first BIG EAST Player of the Week award. This is the first time since 2020-21 that Seton Hall has had two different players earn the BIG EAST's top weekly honor (Sandro Mamukelashvili, Myles Cale).
Richmond averaged 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists while guiding the Pirates to a pair of wins against ranked league opponents. He began the week with 16 points, eight rebounds and six assists in a 61-57 win at No. 23 Providence. In a 78-75 victory against No. 7 Marquette, the senior posted 21 points, five assists and three boards. He scored 14 of his 21 points in the second half against the Golden Eagles.
The Pirates are back at Prudential Center on Tuesday, Jan. 16 when they take St. John's at 8:30 p.m. Secure your seats today.
