
Pirates Perform Valiantly at BIG EAST Championship

LEESBURG, VA. – Seton Hall men's cross country traveled to Leesburg, Virgina, to compete in the BIG EAST Cross Country Championship today, where they placed 8th out of 9 teams with 254 points.
Junior Stephen Beaman crossed the line for the Pirates first with a time of 25:57.59 This was Beaman's third straight race as a one of the first two Pirates to finish. four finish in as many races.
Not long after Beman, sophomore Joseph Butler continued his strong close to the season with a time of 26:16.26. Less than five second behind him, junior Logan Brunozzi  finished with a time of 26:20.59.
After them, Freshman Aakash Arumguam crossed the finish line in 27:02.70, making him the third Pirate finisher inside the top 75.
Senior Anthony Cary was the Pirates' fifth finisher of the race with a time of 27:31.07, wrapping up the scoring positions.
The Pirates will return to competition on November 15, when they travel to University Park Pennsylvania, to compete in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship.
