
Marosi, Vizzard and Graham Claim Wins on Opening Night of Bucknell Invitational

LEWISBURG, PA. – The Seton Hall men's swimming and diving team finished up its first day of competition at the Bucknell Invitational on Friday night. The night saw the Pirates claim a trio of both wins and additional podium finishes.
Diving
In a continuation of his tour de force season, freshman diver Nick Graham earned another overall victory in the 3-meter board. Graham's final score of 310.65 was nearly ten points higher than his score from prelims. Alongside Graham, Trevor Post secured second place in the 3-meter board with a score of 305.50.
Swimming
After securing three places in the A-final during prelims, including the top seed, the Pirates would go on to claim a one-two finish in the 500 Freestyle. Senior distance demon Sean Vizzard meet claimed overall victory in the event with a time of 4:25.68. That result from Vizzard was nearly five seconds faster than what he swam in 500 Free at last year's invitational meet. Junior Clil Halevi would come in not far behind Vizzard with a time of 4:28.07, securing second place in the event for The Hall. Freshman Jaden Bunt would finish eighth in the heat, but would end his day with a personal best of nearly ten seconds with a time of 4:33.81.
In the 200 IM, the Pirates secured two of the top three seeds in the final. Freshman Balint Marosi would convert his top seed into an overall win with a time of 1:47.60. Junior Kevin Cary nearly claimed third place after just missing out on third place at the wall.
To close out the individual events for the night, Toma Adam's time of 20.27 in the 50 Freestyle was 0.02 seconds off his time from the 2024 BIG EAST Championships.
The Pirates would close out the night in a tightly contested 400 Medley Relay. The Pirates were in a race to the wall on the final lap, but ultimately ended up finishing in third place. Balint Marosi, Ben Endersby, Michael Klimaszewski, Kevin Cary would touch the wall with a time of 3:15.03, less than two-tenths off the school record in the event

The Pirates return to action on Saturday morning for the second day of the Bucknell Invitational. Prelims get underway at 10 a.m., with finals set to begin at 6 p.m.
