Masonius Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Masonius has been honored by the BIG EAST in each of the season's first three weeks.
NEW YORK – Seton Hall's Faith Masonius (Spring Lake, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

It's the third consecutive week to start the year that Masonius has been honored by the conference.Â

Masonius continued the torrid start to her Seton Hall career with two strong efforts for Seton Hal last week. The forward averaged a team-high 18.0 points per game to go with 4.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists. On Monday at Cincinnati, Masonius erupted for a team-high 21 points to go with five rebounds, four steals and two blocks in a one-point, come-from-behind victory at Cincinnati. On Thursday, she added 15 points with three rebounds and three steals.

Currently, Masonius ranks among the Top-5 leaders in the BIG EAST in scoring (fifth), field goal percentage (third), free-throw percentage (third) and steals per game (fourth). She's also ninth in assists per game and 14th in rebounds per game.

Creighton's Lauren Jensen was named BIG EAST Player of the Week, while Connecticut's Sarah Strong earned Freshman of the Week honors. Those joining Masonius on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll include: Butler's Caroline Strande, Georgetown's Kelsey Ransom, Marquette's Skylar Forbes and Providence's Grace Efosa.

Seton Hall will return to action on Wednesday, Nov. 27 when it faces national-power USC as part of the Acrisure Holiday Invitational in Palm Springs, Calif. Tip time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET. The game will be televised live on truTV.
