
Pucci Earns All-BIG EAST Honors For Second Time

South Orange, N.J. -- Following a standout season where she scored three goals and started all 18 games, Chiara Pucci (Munich, Germany) has been named All-BIG EAST Third Team by the league's head coaches, the conference announced Wednesday.
Pucci becomes just the seventh Pirate in program history earn multiple All-BIG EAST honors in a career, joining Kelly Smith, Stacey Nagle, Courtney Wood, Frauke Dittel, Megan Mills and Katie Ritter. Pucci is the first player since Ritter in 2010-11 to earn multiple all-conference honors.
A two-time team captain, Pucci led the Pirates in minutes in BIG EAST play with 810 and she scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Providence on Oct. 6. She's tied for eighth in Seton Hall history in career games played with 72 and all three of her career goals were scored this season. Along with her game-winner over the Friars, Pucci scored the go-ahead goal on a penalty kick in The Hall's season-opening win over Hofstra. Pucci was a third team all-conference pick last season and a CSC Academic All-District selection. She'll graduate with degrees in diplomacy and Italian.
