SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Freshman Jada Eads (Orlando, Fla.) scored a game-high 19 points and Faith Masonius (Spring Lake, N.J.) recorded her 1,000^th career point as the Seton Hall women's basketball team routed Le Moyne, 68-41, on Saturday for its fourth straight victory.

The Hall led wire-to-wire, outscoring the Dolphins, 27-to-4 in the first quarter. Le Moyne was only out-scored by four points for the remaining three quarters, but the damage had been done. The Pirates forced 24 turnovers, including seven in the fateful first 10 minutes.

Eads led four Pirates who scored in double-figures. She had a career-high 19 points to go with five rebounds, five assists and two steals. Masonius finished with 10 points on 5-for-8 shooting to give her 1,001 career points.

Savannah Catalon (Mansfield, Texas) had 13 points on the strength of three made three-pointers before she exited with a lower-body injury. Yaya Lops (Stamford, Conn.) had 12 points and six rebounds.

THE STORY:
The story of the game was contained within the first 10 minutes. After Le Moyne tied the game at two just 65 seconds into the contest, The Hall went on a 25-0 run, holding the Dolphins scoreless for 8:29. During the game-changing run, Seton Hall held Le Moyne to 0-for-10 shooting from the floor and forced seven turnovers. The Pirates took a 27-4 lead into the second quarter.

After an even second quarter, Le Moyne went on a 9-0 run to cut its deficit to just 16 points with 2:54 left in the third quarter, but The Hall closed the quarter with a 9-0 burst of its own to quash the Dolphins' comeback.

THE NUMBERS:

Seton Hall was 26-for-65 (40.0%) from the floor for the game, while Le Moyne was 15-for-50 (30.0%). The Hall was 12-for-34 (35.3%) from three-point range, while the Dolphins were 8-for-28 (28.6%).
Eads had a career-high 19 points on 7-for-14 shooting, including 4-for-10 from three-point range. She also had five rebounds, five assists and two steals.
Both teams collected 37 rebounds, with the Pirates' gaining a slight edge in offensive boards, 13-to-11.
Catalon had 13 points to go with four rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Seton Hall was 4-for-5 (80.0%) from the free-throw line, while Le Moyne was 3-for-5 (60.0%).
Lops tallied 12 points to go with six rebounds and two assists.
Seton Hall forced 24 turnovers, while the Dolphins forced 10. The Hall had a 30-to-13 advantage in points-off-turnovers.
Masonius had 10 points to go with three rebounds and three assists.
The Pirates had 18 fast-break points, compared to just 0 for Le Moyne.

THE NOTES:

Seton Hall improves to 8-2, while Le Moyne drops to 0-10.
This was the first-ever meeting between Seton Hall and Le Moyne.
With 10 points tonight Masonius reached the prestigious milestone of 1,000 career points.
Seton Hall has now forced more turnovers than its opponent in all 10 games this season.
At 8-2, The Hall is off to its best 10-game start since the 2015-16 season.
The Pirates improve to 133-50 in Walsh Gym during the Bozzella era. Furthermore, the Pirates are now 71-13 against non-conference opponents at home.
With four steals tonight, Amari Wright (Jacksonville, Fla.) moved past former Pirates Geraldine Saintilus and Pam Kapuscienski into 11^th place on Seton Hall's career list with 181.
Tonight was Wright's 119^th career game played, which is tied with Phyllis Mangina and Terry Green for sixth most in Seton Hall history.
The Hall has now held six of their 10 opponents under 55 points this season.
The Hall has forced at least 20 turnovers in seven of 10 games this year.
Seton Hall had drained at least 10 three-pointers in three of its last four games.
