Catalon Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK – Seton Hall's Savannah Catalon (Mansfield, Texas) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

Catalon had her inevitable season breakout last week, leading the Pirates with 23.5 points and 4.5 steals per game. On Monday against San Francisco, she erupted for a career-high 26 points on the strength of 6-for-11 shooting from three-point range. She also had five rebounds and three steals in Seton Hall's victory over the Dons. On Friday vs. Howard, Catalon again led The Hall with 21 points, fueled by five made three-pointers. She also collected a career-high six steals against the Bison with three rebounds.

Connecticut's Sarah Strong was named both BIG EAST Player and Freshman of the Week. Those joining Catalon on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll include: Creighton's Lauren Jensen, Marquette's Lee Volker, Providence's Grace Efosa and St. John's Lashae Dwyer.

Seton Hall will return to action tonight when it faces Sacred Heart in historic Walsh Gymnasium. Tip time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET. The game will be streamed live by the Pirate Sports Network and available for FloCollege subscribers.
