The golf course is home to the Lopes men's and women's golf programs. The teams are afforded access to the course and private practice areas reserved exclusively for team use. There is access to a private driving range tee, two private chipping greens, bunker and chipping areas. The coaches' offices and a private team area are located on the second floor of the new clubhouse.

Following the extensive renovation, the course features include new tee boxes, challenging greens, extended fairways, enhanced bunkers, updated practice facilities and a 10,000-square-foot clubhouse including a restaurant and bar, second-story practice facility and fully equipped pro shop. Its stunning redesign shapes the GCU Golf Course as a traditional walking golf course accented with beautiful greens, preserved full-grown trees planted in the early 1960s and distinct, memorable holes.
