New York, N.Y. — The Seton Hall men's basketball team will tip off a 20-game BIG EAST Conference slate on Tuesday, Dec. 17 when the Pirates hit the road to take on Villanova as the league announced its full 2024-25 schedule on Thursday. Television assignments and tip times will be announced at a later date.
Led by 2024 Peter A. Carlesimo Metropolitan Coach of the Year Shaheen Holloway, the Pirates are looking to build upon last year's NIT Championship triumph and make a BIG EAST Championship run and a return to March Madness.
The Hall's first league game at Prudential Center will be on Sunday, Dec. 22 against Georgetown before wrapping up 2024 at Xavier on New Year's Eve. The Pirates will open up the New Year in Newark against DePaul on Wednesday, Jan. 8. Four of Seton Hall's seven games in January will be played at Prudential Center, including a Saturday, Jan. 18 clash against local foe St. John's.
Following its second idle week of the league slate, Seton Hall will welcome UConn to Prudential Center on Saturday, Feb. 15. The Pirates have won their last three meetings at Prudential Center against the Huskies. The UConn game kicks off a critical seven-game stretch that features back-to-back home games against Xavier (Sunday, Feb. 23) and Villanova (Wednesday, Feb. 26) as well as the Prudential Center finale against Creighton on Tuesday, March 4.
