
Five 2023-24 Pirates Sign Professional Contracts

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Five Seton Hall women's basketball players from the 2023-24 team have officially signed professional contracts. Azana Baines, A'Jah Davis, Sha'Lynn Hagans, Brazil Harvey-Carr, and Kae Satterfield will all continue their basketball careers in other countries this year.

AZANA BAINES

In two years at Seton Hall, Baines blossomed into one of the top players in the BIG EAST. A First Team All-Conference selection, she was one of only three players in the BIG EAST last year to rank in the top-12 in points, rebounds, steals and blocks. A participant in the 2024 Women's College All-Star Game, Baines finished 11th in the league in scoring with 14.7 points and 6.0 rebounds per contest. Baines topped 20 points nine times in a Seton Hall uniform and scored a career-high 29 points at DePaul on Feb. 15, 2023.

When Baines isn't representing USA Basketball at the 3x3 World Championships this fall, she'll be playing for Sedis Cadi La Seau in Spain.

A'JAH DAVIS

Having already established herself as a legend at Northern Illinois University, Davis made 17 starts and appeared in 24 games for the Pirates during her grad year. One of the nation's top rebounders, she ranked 12th in the BIG EAST last season with 1.8 offensive boards per game. On Feb. 20 at Marquette, Davis recorded her 1,500th career point.

Davis is currently playing with Pioneras of ABCMEX in Mexico.

SHA'LYNN HAGANS

After transferring to South Orange from Penn State, Hagans quickly asserted herself both offensively and defensively at Seton Hall. The 5-foot-6 guard appeared in 61 games the last two years averaging 6.8 points per game. A lethal long-distance shooter, Hagans connected on 53 three-pointers during her Seton Hall career. During the 2022-23 season, she finished eighth in the BIG EAST with 1.5 steals per game. Hagans erupted for a career-high 22 points with four steals in a win at Providence on Jan. 8, 2023.

Hagans will continue her basketball career with Partizani Basket in Albania.

Harvey-Carr was a key contributor to the Pirates' front court off the bench during the 2023-24 season. A talented big who can score in the paint and pop out for a three-pointer, she saw action in 23 games and averaged 3.7 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. Against No. 9 Connecticut on Jan. 17, Harvey-Carr erupted for a season-high 13 points on the strength of four made three-pointers.

KAE SATTERFIELD

A regular in the Pirates' lineup, Satterfield saw action in 57 games during her two-year Seton Hall career and made 25 starts last season alone. Versatile and efficient, she finished third in the BIG EAST in 2023-24 with a .546 field goal percentage. Satterfield averaged 9.2 points per game, which ranked 27th in the BIG EAST, and 10th with a .795 free-throw rate. In a victory over Georgetown on Jan. 31, she had a season-high 17 points to go with six rebounds, five assists and three steals.

Two summers ago, Satterfield represented Puerto Rico in the 3x3 World Championship. She will return to her native land to play for Isabela.
