
Pirates Close Fall Season with Final Round in Delaware

REHOBOTH BEACH, DEL. – Sophomore Marta Aguilar (Casares Malaga, Spain) shot a 3-over-par, 75, in the final round of the 2025 Delaware Lady Blue Hen Invitational to lift the Seton Hall women's golf team to an 11th place finish on Sunday.

Start of today's final round was moved up due to increasing high winds later in the day. Despite the time change, the field still had to deal with gusts of up to 30 mph.

Aguilar tied for 12th among 69 individual golfers with a 6-over-par, 73-74-75-222. Harvard's Vanesa Zhang won the individual title by seven strokes with a 6-under-par score.

As a team, the Pirates shot a 26-over-par, 314, in round three. For the three-round event, Seton Hall was 76-over-par with a 318-308-314-940. Delaware rallied to win their event at 11-over-par. BIG EAST competitors, Georgetown and St. John's, finished at 19-over-par and 33-over-par respectively.

Junior Renee Rane (New Delhi, India) shot a 7-over-par, 79, on Sunday. For the tournament, she tied for 50th place with a 19-over-par, 78-78-79-235.

Senior Anne-Sofie Ekman (Copenhagen, Denmark) had two birdies in round three. She finished the event at 22-over-par with an 81-79-78-238.

Freshman Isabella Stewart (Wicklow, Ireland) carded a 10-over-par, 82, on Sunday. For the tournament, she finished at 29-over-par with an 86-77-82-245.

Rounding out the Pirates' lineup on Saturday was junior Kasumi Tran (Swansea, Wales), who closed the fall with a 40-over-par, 94-80-82-256.

In addition to Seton Hall and host Delaware, the field was comprised of 10 other teams including: Dartmouth, Delaware State, Harvard, Pennsylvania, Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart, Yale and Youngstown State. BIG EAST opponents Georgetown and St. John's are also in the field.

Teams played five golfers and count the four lowest scores per round.
