Omaha, Neb. – The Seton Hall women's soccer team dropped its road contest at Creighton on Wednesday night, 3-0.
How it Happened
The Bluejays appeared to break the ice on the scoreboard in the 28th minute after a turnover led to a goal. However, a VAR review resulted in a red card being shown to Creighton's Jalen Chaney during the change in possession, meaning the Pirates would be a player up for the remainer of the match. Despite playing down, Creighton managed to find the back of the next twice in the first half.
The Pirates looked to respond quickly out the break, as Ava Lozada had a look at goal in the 50th minute but was turned aside. Chances proved to be more plentiful for Seton Hall after halftime, registering six of its eight total shots in the second half, however the visitors were unable to cash in. In the 59th minute, the Bluejays added another insurance tally as Brynn Gardner scored to give the Bluejays a 3-0 advantage.
Up Next
The Pirates return home to Owen T. Carroll Field on Saturday to celebrate Senior Night. Grace Mitchell and Sarah Mitchell will be honored pregame before the Pirates battle UConn at 6 p.m.
