
Beauvois Scores as Pirates Fall at Marquette in Season Finale

Milwaukee, Wis. – Olivia Beauvois netted her first goal of the season, but the Seton Hall women's soccer team fell in its season finale at Marquette, 3-1, on Saturday night at Valley Fields.
How it Happened
Marquette controlled the run of play in the early going, however Seton Hall's defense was able to force tough looks at goal to keep things scoreless. The Golden Eagles would eventually break through in the 43rd minute, as Jocelyn Leigh slotted one home to give Marquette a 1-0 lead at halftime.
In the 71st minute, the Golden Eagles would double their lead thanks to an unassisted goal from Megan Murray. In the aftermath of the second Marquette goal, the Pirates rebounded and looked to rally late. After a free kick for Seton Hall which led to a scramble for possession inside the box, Beauvois was able to tap in her first goal of the year to cut the Pirate deficit in half.
Marquette would answer back in the late stages, scoring an insurance goal in the 87th minute off the foot of Aislinn Boyle to make it a 3-1 final.
