NEW YORK – Junior guard Budd Clark has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced Monday morning. Clark makes it three straight week with a Pirate earning a BIG EAST weekly honor, joining AJ Staton-McCray who was recognized by the league each of the last two weeks.

Clark had a tremendous all-around performance in Saturday's Garden State Hardwood Classic victory over Rutgers. The guard finished with 16 points, seven assists, four steals and just one turnover on the night en route to being named the Joe Calabrese MVP. Fourteen of Clark's 16 points came in the second half, and three of his steals came inside the first two minutes of the game which helped propel the Pirates to an 11-0 start. Clark was efficient with his shots from the field as well, shooting 7-of-10 on the night.

Clark and the Pirates open BIG EAST play this Friday night in Providence as they take on the Friars at 6:30 p.m. on FS1.
