Catalon Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Catalon averaged 15.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.0 steals in two games last week.
NEW YORK – Seton Hall's Savannah Catalon (Mansfield, Texas) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

It's the second time this season that Catalon has received the honor.

Catalon had a strong week, filling the box score for Seton Hall in a pair of contests. On Tuesday against Columbia, the guard had 16 points, five rebounds and a season-high five steals. On Sunday against SEC foe Auburn, Catalon scored 15 points, including nine in the fourth quarter, with eight rebounds, four assists and three steals. She was 4-for-6 from three-point range against the Tigers, including a trifecta with only 40 seconds left which made it a two-possession game.

Connecticut's Azzi Fudd and Bianca Quinonez were named BIG EAST Player of the Week and BIG EAST Freshman of the Week, respectively. Those joining Catalon on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll include: Butler's Mallory Miller, DePaul's Kate Novik, Marquette's Halle Vice and Xavier's Mackenzie Givens.

Seton Hall will return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 16 when it completes the non-conference portion of its schedule with a game against Washington State in Walsh Gymnasium. Tip time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The game will be streamed live by ESPN+.
