
Fricker Leads Pirates in Final Day at Vaqueros

PLAYA DEL CARMEN, MEXICO. – Senior George Fricker (Woodbridge, England) shot a 3-over-par, 75, to lead the Seton Hall men's golf team as it completed play at the Vaqueros Intercollegiate in Mexico on Tuesday.

Fricker moved up five spots on the final day to finish tied for 42nd place with a 14-over-par, 83-72-75-230.Â

The top Seton Hall golfer for the tournament was Patrick Kahanek (San Antonio, Texas), who used two birdies to fuel a 5-over-par, 77, in round three. For the tournament, he tied for 26th place among 90 golfers with a 9-over-par, 76-72-77-225. Louisiana-Monroe's Louis Anceaux won the individual title at 6-under-par.
As a team, The Hall shot a 22-over-par, 310, in round three. For the tournament, the Pirates finished in 12th place with a 49-over-par, 304-299-310-913. SMU won the team title at even-par.

Junior David Lally (Wicklow, Ireland) finished his tournament with a 7-over-par, 79, on Tuesday. For the three-day event, he tied for 37th place with a 12-over-par, 72-77-79-228.

Junior Jack Bosworth (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) had two more birdies on Tuesday to finish with a 7-over-par. 79. For the tournament, he shot a 22-over-par, 81-78-79-238.

Freshman Will Hennessee (Tulsa, Okla.) ended his first tournament of the spring with a 9-over-par, 81, in round three. For the event, he was 25-over-par with a 75-85-81-241.

Competing as an individual, senior Angus O'Brien (Barwon Heads, Australia) shot a 13-over-par, 85, on Tuesday. He finished the tournament with a 43-over-par, 88-85-85-258.
