South Orange, N.J. - Seton Hall women's golf head coach Natalie Desjardins has resigned her position after eight seasons to accept a new position as a director of junior golf at a training facility in Brooklyn, Director of Athletics Bryan Felt announced Friday. Seton Hall will immediately commence a search for her successor.
Â
"I'd like to thank Natalie for her contributions to Seton Hall and all that she did to mentor and coach our women's golf student-athletes for the last eight years," said Felt. "Our women's golf student-athletes have always been standouts in the classroom and on the course, and we appreciate Natalie's efforts to develop them. We wish her all the best at her new position."
Â
Desjardins became the head coach at Seton Hall in July 2017 and consistently kept the Pirates in conference championship contention with five top-three finishes in the BIG EAST, including runner-up finishes in 2018 and 2021. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic prevented the Pirates from competing for the championship in a season in which Desjardins' team had achieved a Golfstat ranking of 54.
Â
Desjardins' teams produced eight tournament team victories and have accounted for many of the program's records for lowest tournament scores, in both three-round and two-round formats. Her teams also account for six of the top seven single-year scoring averages in program history, including a program-best 296.15 in 2019-20.
Â
Individually, Desjardins has coached nine All-BIG EAST selections, eight BIG EAST All-Tournament selections and two student-athletes who were named BIG EAST Rookie of the Year. Seton Hall had nine individual top-10 performances at the BIG EAST Championship as well.
Â
In the classroom, Desjardins' student-athletes shined with team cumulative GPAs annually above 3.70. In her tenure, women's golfers have accumulated 46 BIG EAST All-Academic team selections (not including 2024-25, which hasn't been announced yet) and 34 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar selections, which requires a 3.50 GPA.
