Angelillo Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK – Junior midfielder Gianna Angelillo (Glastonbury, Conn.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
Angelillo starred in her first game as a Pirate last Thursday against Monmouth, scoring a pair of goals in Seton Hall's 3-1 victory in the season opener. The junior opened the scoring in the 52nd minute, taking a perfect cross from Abby Udowenko and burying it in the back of the net to tie the match at 1-1. Just six minutes later, the duo linked up again on what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 58th minute.
Angelillo and the Pirates look to make it two straight wins to open the season when they host Iona on Thursday at 5 p.m.
