SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Seton Hall's Savannah Catalon (Mansfield, Texas),  Jordana Codio (Winter Garden, Fla.) and Messiah Hunter (Hopewell, Va.) were named to the Academic All-District Team by the College Sports Communicators.
Â
In order to qualify for the prestigious All-District Team, an athlete must maintain a 3.50 grade point average and must have either played in at least 90 percent of her team's games or started 66 percent of the games.
Â
A unanimous First Team All-BIG EAST selection, Catalon had a massive junior year for Seton Hall, both offensively and defensively. The guard set new single-season career highs in nearly every statistical category including points, rebounds, assists, steals and shooting percentage. Named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll five times, the captain has started every game and ranks in the conference's top-10 in points, steals and leads the BIG EAST in free-throw percentage. Catalon needs just 27 points to become the 26th player in Seton Hall history to reach 1,000 for her career. Named to the newly created five-person All-Defensive Team, Catalon's 89 steals are the third-most in a single-season in Seton Hall history and currently ranks 31st in the country this season. She drew a team-best 200 fouls this year and averaged 6.3 fouls drawn per game, most of which charges.
Â
Codio had a monster senior season at Seton Hall after transferring from the University of Texas. Named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll three times, she ranked second on the Pirates with 12.5 points per game. Codio reached double-figures in scoring 18 times this season and had six games with at least 20 points. The senior stepped up her game when Seton Hall needed her most late in the season, erupting for a career-high 27 points in the regular season finale at Butler on March 1 and then nearly setting records with a 35-point performance in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Tournament against St. John's on March 7. The 35-point outburst is the second-highest total for a Seton Hall player in BIG EAST Tournament history, and the highest for any Pirate during the 2025-26 season. For her efforts, she was named to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team.
Â
For a second straight season, Hunter played in every game for Seton Hall this year, making seven starts and playing a crucial 13.6 minutes per game in the post. A strong defender, she had a career-best 12 blocks and averaged 1.4 rebounds per contest. Offensively, Hunter hit a huge three-pointer with 1:10 left in double-overtime against Fordham on Nov. 20 which made it a two-possession game in route to Seton Hall's victory. In the classroom, she maintained a near perfect 3.95 grade point average in Psychological Studies.
