Former Pirate center Chizoba Ekedigwe joined the Seton Hall coaching staff as the Coordinator of Basketball Operations prior to the 2015-16 season.Â
"It is very exciting to keep Chizzy as a part of our program for another season," Anthony Bozzella said. "She was an excellent ambassador as a player and will be the same as a coach.
In her new role with the Pirates, Ekedwige will asisst with travel, meals, equipment and all other operational duties of the program.
During her four-year career in South Orange, Ekedwige appeared in 97 contests and made 33 starts. She played in all 34 games during SHU's NCAA Tournament campaign as a senior in 2014-15, making a career-best 19 starts. Ekedigwe averaged 1.7 points and 1.7 rebounds a game in her Pirate career, adding 40 blocked shots and 23 steals.Â
A native of Laurel, Md., Ekedigwe graduated from Seton Hall in May of 2015.Â
