Volleyball Announces 2006 Schedule

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J.— Seton Hall has announced its 2006 volleyball schedule. The team is coming off its best season since 2003 with a 14-16 overall record, and will be led by new head coach Kris Zeiter.
Seton Hall opens its season competing in the University of Delaware Invitational on August 25-26. The following weekend, the Pirates will travel to Hofstra for the Hofstra-Asics Invitational Tournament. Seton Hall hosts Iona on Sept. 6 in its first home game of the season, and will host the Seton Hall Invitational Tournament on Sept. 8-9. The Pirates will travel to the University of Rhode Island for their final non-conference tournament before the BIG EAST schedule begins.
Seton Hall opens up its BIG EAST season traveling to Georgetown on Sept. 22. The Pirates host six BIG EAST games, while traveling to eight. In addition to Georgetown, Seton Hall will travel to South Florida, St. John’s, Connecticut, Cincinnati, Louisville, Villanova and Rutgers. The Pirates open their home BIG EAST season against Notre Dame on Sept. 30, and will also host DePaul, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Marquette, and Syracuse. The BIG EAST Championship will be held on Nov. 17-19 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
