Cross Country Competes at Iona Meet of Champions

BRONX, N.Y. - The Seton Hall cross country team continued its season at the Iona Meet of Champions on Saturday morning. The women's team placed 20^th, while the men were 22^nd.

On the women's side, senior Diane Szaflarski (Clifton, N.J.) finished in 26:00.25 to place 126^th. Junior KeAira Dickerson (Wilmington, Del.) ran a time of 26:27.33 to place 139^th. Freshman Eloisa Paredes (Clifton, N.J) was next to place at 147^th (26:41.79). Freshman Hughnique Rolle (Nassau, Bahamas) clocked in at 27:16.36 to place 157^th, and junior Madison Wrest (Edmonds, Wash.) finished 161^st (27.29.66).

For the men, freshman Jared Hanko (Montville, N.J.) was the top finisher, hitting a time of 28:52.01 to place 154^th. Sophomore Austin Tobleman (West Chester, Pa.) was right behind Hanko in 155^th (28:52.56). Junior Dwight Parker (Randallstown, Md.) clocked in at 29:27.57 to place 171^st. Senior Patrick McGovern (Granton, R.I.) crossed the finish line in 29:28.51 to finish 174^th, and freshman Mamadou Niang (North Caldwell, N.J.) rounded out the Pirates' five in 189^th (30:17.22).
