
Quigley, Fahy Race to the Line at Paul Short Run

BETHLEHEM, PA. – Seton Hall women's cross country competed against its largest field of the season on Friday at the Paul Short Run, placing 20th in a 39-team field with 424 total points.
How it Happened
For the Pirates, it was a line-to-stern race to the finish for Caitlin Fahy and Paige Quigley. Both rose the ranks through the field, climbing over forty places each to cross the line simultaneously with times of 21:56.20. Fahy earned the tierbreaker, securing 39th place and extending her streak of meets as a top-three Pirate finisher to eight consecutive meets. Quigley, instead, collected a 40th-place finish, second-fastest of all the Pirates.
Despite only collecting a 54th-place finish, senior Honey Strosnider managed to cross the line as the third-fastest Pirate with a time of 22:07.40.
For the fourth time this season, Laura Castagna and Destiny Lopez rounded out the top five for the Pirates. Castagna crossed the line as the fourth Pirate finisher, 153rd overall, with a time of 23:14.10. Lopez, meanwhile, recorded a time of 23:18.70 while finishing 163rd overall.

The Pirates will continue their season on Saturday, October 11, when they travel to Newark, N.J., to compete in the Metropolitan Championship.
