
Women's Cross Country Finishes Eighth At Leopard Invite

EASTON, Pa. - The Seton Hall women's cross country team placed eighth out of eight teams at the Leopard Invitational on Saturday morning. The men's team only had four runners compete and did not factor in the team standings.
Sophomore Hughnique Rolle (Nassau, Bahamas) turned in the best performance on the women's side, taking 18th place with a time of 23:08. Senior Alexandra Hehn (Toms River, N.J.) was the next finisher in 35th (23:50). Senior KeAira Dickerson (Wilmington, Del.) and sophomore Eloisa Paredes (Clifton, N.J.) finished in 45th and 46th, respectively, with both running a 24:22. Freshman Nyala Eddings placed 53rd (24:48), and sopohomore Christina Chafos was 74th (28:33).
Freshman Carl Johnston (Burrey, British Columbia) led the men, capturing 39th place with a time of 27:11. Junior Tom Corona (Fairfield, Conn.) was 82nd (28:44), sophomore Erik Chester (Danieltown, Conn.) took 91st (28:55), freshman Cory Hellwig was 103rd (29:46).
The Pirates will race at the BIG EAST Championships on Saturday, October 30, in Syracuse, N.Y.
