
Cross Country Runs at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - The Seton Hall cross country teams ran at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals on Saturday, hosted by Penn State. The men placed 27th out of 28 teams, and the women were 26th out of 29 squads.
Freshman Carl Johnston (Burrey, British Columbia) was the men's top finisher, taking 135th place with a time of 33:48 in the 10K race. Sophomore Hughnique Rolle (Nassau, Bahamas) led the women with a 92nd place finish in the 6K, running a time of 22:53.
Sophomore Mamadou Niang (North Caldwell, N.J.) placed 175th (36:19), sophomore Cory Hellwig was 180th (36:38), sophomore Jared Hanko (Montville, N.J.) secured 182nd (36:58), junior Erik Chester (Danieltown, Conn.) was 183rd (36:59), and freshman Tony Cramond took 184th place (37:20).
Senior Madison Wrest (Edmonds, Wash.) finished 164th (24:36), sophomore Eloisa Paredes (Clifton, N.J.) was 172nd (24:57), senior Alexandra Hehn (Toms River, N.J.) placed 178th (25:09), senior KeAira Dickerson (Wilmington, Del.) finished in 181st place (25:22), freshman Nyala Edding placed 183rd (25:36), and sophomore Christina Chafos finished 195th (28:26).
The Pirates will wrap up their season at the IC4A/ECAC Championships on November 20.
