
Cross Country Runs at Delaware Invitational

NEWARK, Del. - The Seton Hall cross country teams continued to race at the Delaware Invitational on Saturday. Both teams finished fourth out of four squads.
Freshman Carl Johnston (Surrey, British Columbia) led the men with a 21st place finish (27:39). Sophomore Jared Hanko (Montville, N.J.) was 29th with a time of 29:09. The rest of the male scorers finished in a row from 31st to 35th. Juniors Erik Chester (Danieltown, Conn.) and Andrew O'Leary (Liverpool, N.Y.) ran times of 29:14 and 29:25, respectively. Sophomore Mamadou Niang (North Caldwell, N.J.) followed with a 29:27, freshman Tony Cramond (Monroe, Conn.) ran a 29:36, and senior Dwight Parker (Randallstown, Md.) finished in 30:01.
Sophomore Hughnique Rolle (Nassau, Bahamas) paced the women, taking home 23rd place with a time of 20:35. Senior Alexandra Hehn (Toms River, N.J.) was 27th in 20:47, and sophomore Eloisa Paredes (Clifton, N.J.) captured 32nd after finishing in 21:09. Freshman Nyala Eddings took 34th place in 21:15. Seniors Madison Wrest (Edmonds, Wash.) and KeAira Dickerson (Wilmington, Del.) placed 39th and 41st with times of 21:43 and 22:09, respectively. Sophomore Christina Chafos rounded out the scorers, finishing in 48th in 24:34.
The Pirates return to action at the Asics Embry-Riddle Classic on Saturday, September 25.
