
Cross Country Competes at BIG EAST Championship

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Seton Hall cross country teams raced at the BIG EAST Championship in E.P. Tom Sawyer Park on Saturday morning. The women finished 15th, while the men's team placed 14th.
Freshman Mary Migton (Succasunna, N.J.) paced the women's team with a 72nd place finish in 22:32.9. Senior Jared Hanko (Montville, N.J.) led the men's team with an 88th place finish, crossing the finish line in 26:27.3.
For the rest of the women, junior Hughnique Rolle (Nassau, Bahamas) placed 89th (22:57.8), sophomore Nyala Eddings (Chicago, Ill.) claimed 121st place (24:30.0), freshman Louisa Ozimek (Parma, Ohio) was 133rd (26:53.7), junior Marigot Lustyk (Honeoye Falls, N.Y.) was next in 135th (27:21.3). Senior Jehmessah Walker (Newport News, Va.) and junior Christina Chafos (South Amboy, N.J.) rounded out the scoring in 136th (27:36.9) and 137th place (28:28.8), respectively.
Senior Erik Chester (Danielson, Conn.) finished 101st (27:02.6), freshman Tyler Orner (Sinking Spring, Pa.) took home110th place (27:37.2), freshman Kevin Walsh (Deltaville, Va.) was 116th (28:22.4), senior Andrew O'Leary (Liverpool, N.Y.) placed 118th (28:46.6), junior Tony Cramond (Monroe, Conn.) secured 119th (28:49.5), and junior Cory Hellwig (Vernon, N.J.) was 120th (29:03.1).
The Pirates return to action on November 12 at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional in Princess Anne, Md.
