
Cross Country Races at Fordham Fiasco

BRONX, N.Y. - The Seton Hall cross country teams both earned 13th place finishes at the Fordham Fiasco at Van Cortlandt Park on Saturday morning. The men's race was five miles, while the women ran 3.1 miles.
Freshman Mary Migton (Ledgewood, N.J.) captured 35th place after running the 5K in 19:25.97. Junior Hughnique Rolle (Nassau, Bahamas) secured a 98th place finish in 20:37.18. Sophomore Nyala Eddings (Chicago, Ill.) finished 125th (21:16.40), junior Christina Chafos (South Amboy, N.J.) took 184th (23:10.28), and senior Jehmessah Walker (Newport News, Va.) placed 200th (24:14.29).
Junior Jared Hanko (Montville, N.J.) led the men for the second straight week, turning in a time of 28:30.03 to finish 101st. Sophomore Carl Johnston (Surrey, British Columbia) followed with a 140th place finish in 29:29.79. Freshman Kevin Walsh (Deltaville, Va.) secured 149th place (29:41.00), sophomore Cory Hellwig (Vernon, N.J.) was 162nd (30:04.14), and freshman Tyler Orner (Sinking Spring, Pa.) took 182nd.
The Pirates will next compete at the Delaware Invitational on Saturday, September 17.
