
Migton Finishes Ninth; Cross Country Treks on at Delaware Invite

NEWARK, Del. - The Seton Hall cross country teams continued to race at the Delaware Invitational on Saturday. The women took fourth out of five teams and the men placed fifth
Freshman Mary Migton (Succasunna, N.J.) posted her second top-10 finish and led the women for the third straight week. Migton completed the 6K course in 23:27.26 to place ninth. Junior Jared Hanko (Montville, N.J.) hit a time of 27:51.45 in the 8K to finish 21st.
Sophomore Nyala Eddings (Chicago, Ill.) ran a 25:16.28 to finish 32nd. From there, the women finished in order from 56th-60th place. Junior Christina Chafos (South Amboy, N.J.) hit a mark of 27:33.95, freshman Louisa Ozimek (Parma, Ohio) ran a 28:01.12, junior Marigot Lustyk (Honeoye Falls, N.Y.) clocked in at 28:46.68, sophomore Kristen May (Shrewsberry, Mass.) crossed the tape in 29:34.28, and sophomore Sophia Fils-Aime (Long Branch, N.J.) finished in 32:20.34.
Senior Erik Chester (Danielson, Conn.) turned in a time of 28:18.81 to place 26th, while sophomore Carl Johnston (Surrey, British Columbia) took 29th in 28:57.51. Freshman Kevin Walsh (Deltaville, Va.) captured 32nd place (29:05.96), sophomore Cory Hellwig (Vernon, N.J.) finished in 34th (29:22.44), and junior Tony Cramond (Monroe, Conn.) followed in 35th (29:33.45). Freshman John Walsh (Deltaville, Va.) rounded out the SHU scoring with a 37th place finish (29:49.79).
The Pirates will race again at the Towson Invitational on Friday, September 23.
