
MGolf Finishes Fall Season in 7th at Temple

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA. - Junior Cory Wilson (Newton, N.J.) fired a 3-over-par, 73, in round two to help guide the Seton Hall men's golf team to a seventh place finish at the Temple Invitational on Sunday.
Wilson was seven strokes better in the second round and finished the two-day event tied for 33rd with a 13-over-par, 80-73-153.
Collectively, Seton Hall shot a 25-over-par, 305, on Sunday to finish seventh among the field of 14 teams. The Pirates finished the tournament at 39-over-par with a 294-305-599. Host Temple won the team event at 5-over-par. Seton Hall's lone BIG EAST competition this weekend, Georgetown, finished two strokes better than the Pirates in sixth place.
Junior Ryan Snouffer (Sparta, N.J.) and sophomore Lloyd Jefferson Go (Guadalupe Cebu City, Philippines) are currently tied for 23rd place following a pair of 5-over-par, 75's, in round one.
JT Harper (Pebble Beach, Calif.) was the top Pirate finisher for the weekend. The senior held the individual lead following his first round, 68, but fell off the pace with a second round, 80. Harper finished the event tied for 13th with an 8-over-par, 68-80-148.
Ryan Snouffer (Sparta, N.J.) tied for 20th overall with a consistent 10-over-par, 75-75-150.
Sophomore Kevin O'Brien (Wexford, Pa.) tied Wilson at 13-over-par for the two-day event. He finished with a 76-77-153. Classmate Lloyd Jefferson Go (Guadalupe Cebu City, Philippines) rounded out the team scoring with a 16-over-par, 75-81-156.
Junior Kevin Sanislo (Whippany, N.J.), competing as an individual, finished with a 26-over-par, 85-81-166.
The Temple Invitational was played at the 6,670-yard par 70 North Course at Philmont Country Club in Huntingdon Valley, Pa. The two-day event, which took place Saturday, October 11th to Sunday, October 12th, included 14 teams from various conferences.
Philmont's North Course has hosted many prestigious events including the Nike Tour (now the Web.com Tour) in the mid-90s and local qualifiers for the US Open and US Amateur. It is a true classic with tree lined fairways and firm, fast greens.
Besides Temple and Seton Hall, schools competing in the Invitational included: Binghamton, Brown, Cornell, Drexel, Fordham, Hartford, La Salle, Penn, Rhode Island and Saint Joseph's.
This concludes the fall season for the Seton Hall men's golf team. The Pirates will be back in action this spring.
