REHOBOTH BEACH, DEL. - The Seton Hall women' golf team will return to the links this weekend when it travels to the Delaware Lady Blue Hen Invitational, Oct. 22-23.

The Course:
Rehoboth Beach Country Club is the best golf course on the Eastern Shore inspiring golfers of all skill levels. Offering multiple tees, sculpted greens and fairways, challenging bunkers and ponds, as spectacular views greet golfers at every turn. Its proximity to the Rehoboth Bay provides a variety of changing winds and weather conditions which influence and enhance the experience.
Rehoboth Beach Country Club was the first golf course in Delaware to receive the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary designation from Audubon International in 2001. It is described as helping "golf courses protect our environment and preserve the natural heritage of the game of golf." Being located in the fragile inland bay region, Rehoboth Beach Country Club embraces this effort and is proud to be one of only 906 courses world-wide to receive this designation.
The Field:
In addition to Seton Hall and host Delaware, the field is comprised of eight other teams including: Dartmouth, Delaware State, Harvard, High Point, La Salle, Pennsylvania, Rutgers and Towson.

The Lineup:
Seton Hall will bring the following golfers to Delaware, in order as listed:
Last year, Seton Hall tied for seventh among 13 teams with a 79-over-par with a 308-315-320-943. Harvard won the team title at 39-over-par. Cassie Pantelas (Canton, Ohio) was the top finisher among returnees. She tied for 16th place among 72 individual golfers with a 16-over-par, 78-76-78-232. Macky Fouse (Aliquippa, Pa.) also played the course, registering a 27-over-par, 84-81-78-243.

This is only the fourth year of the tournament's existence and the second time the Pirates have participated. Graduate Megan Tenhundfeld holds the Pirate record on the course at 14-over-par.

Last Time Out:
Freshman Maddie Sager (Phoenixville, Pa.) fired a career-best 1-under-par, 70, in the second round of the 2016 Yale Women's Intercollegiate and the Pirates finished in 13th place as the third round was cancelled due to rain.

Sager was spectacular in the final round, using three birdies to shoot her first career sub-par round. The Pirate newcomer had a sparkling back nine holes with two birdies and seven pars. She finished tied for 13th among 103 individual golfers with a 3-over-par, 75-70-145.

Collectively, the Pirates shaved three strokes off their first round score, finishing with a 14-over-par, 298. The Hall finished the tournament at 31-over-par with a 301-298-599. Columbia won the team title at 13-over-par. Seton Hall's lone BIG EAST competition, Xavier, finished in 16th place, 21 strokes behind the Pirates.

Tee Times:
The field will play two continuous rounds on Friday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. No. 1 Sager will start on the ninth hole with No. 5 Fouse starting on the 13th hole and the other golfers in between. The Pirates will be paired with golfers from Delaware's "B" team and Towson for the first two rounds.
