NEW YORK- Senior Noah Yanchulis and sophomore Sara Ouellette picked up BIG EAST Conference Men's and Women's Athlete of the Week honors, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Yanchulis grabbed a second place finish in the 200 Free against West Virginia and Xavier in the Big 12 vs. BIG EAST Tri-Meet hosted by the Mountaineers in Morgantown. He touched the wall with a time of 1:40.97. His fourth place 46.96 finish in the 100 Free helped the Pirates propel over Xavier with a 162.5-111.5 victory.

Ouellette's second place finish in the 200 back (2:03.32) was the second fastest time amongst BIG EAST competitors so far this season. She also added a fourth place finish in the 200 free (1:57.28.)

The Pirates will be back in action this Friday, as they head to nearby Piscataway, N.J. to participate in the Rutgers quad-meet. The women will face Rutgers, Georgetown, Villanova, and Pittsburgh as the men take on Georgetown, Villanova, and Pittsburgh.
