
Pirates Open 2017-18 Season On Friday Afternoon

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. -- Set to begin its 45th season of play, the Seton Hall women's basketball team lifts the lid on the 2017-18 season on Friday afternoon when it hosts local rival Saint Peter's at historic Walsh Gymnasium. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. and the contest will be streamed live and FREE on the Pirate Sports Network with David Gass, Tajay Ashmeade and Olivia Mulvihill on the call.Â
The Pirates under fifth-year head coach Anthony Bozzella are opening at home for the seventh-straight season, looking to improve on a 34-10 record all-time in season openers. Under Bozzella the Pirates have been nearly unbeatable in home non-conference games, holding a 30-1 record in non-league contests inside Walsh Gym.Â
