
Pirates Win, Rutkowski Keeps Rolling at NYIT

Old Westbury, N.Y. – The Seton Hall women's cross country team out-paced 11 teams from across Division I, II, II and junior colleges on Saturday, and junior Christiana Rutkowski (Middletown, N.J.) beat out 66 competitors to win her third race of the season at the 5K NYIT Invitational.
For the Pirates, it is their second team victory of the season. Rutkowski finished nearly 40 seconds ahead of the field, and led six different Pirates in the Top-10, including senior Emily Johnson (Wildwood Crest, N.J.), freshman Olivia Hernandez (East Brunswick, N.J.), junior Kiley Britten (Crystal Lake, Ill.), sophomore Kassi Yocco (Bethlehem, Pa.) and freshman Emily Hernandez (East Brunswick, N.J.).
Up next, Seton Hall competes at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore's Cappy Anderson Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 10:30 a.m.
