Nagai Fueling Pirates After 2 Rounds at Georgetown

BEALLSVILLE, MD. – Senior Gen Nagai (Mandaue Cebu City, Philippines) was one of four Pirates to shoot 1-over-par or better in Monday's second round to lead the Seton Hall men's golf team to a fourth place team standing at the 2018 Georgetown Intercollegiate.
Nagai has been brilliant through two rounds, using a combined eight birdies to shoot a pair of even-par, 71, scores to lead the Pirates entering Tuesday's final round. He is currently tied for seventh place among 70 individual golfers with an even-par, 71-71-142. Princeton's Evan Quinn currently leads the field at an impressive 10-under-par.
Collectively, the Pirates shot six strokes better in Monday's second round to finish with an even-par, 284. Through two rounds, The Hall is 6-over-par with a 290-284-574, and trails the team leader, Princeton by 15 strokes. BIG EAST teams rank two through four in the 12-team field after two rounds. Georgetown is second at 4-under-par, while Butler is third at 3-over-par.
Senior Chris Yeom (Flushing, N.Y.) had consistent scores, but very different rounds. On Monday, he shot a pair of 1-over-par, 72, rounds. Yeom's first round included five bogeys and four birdies, but his second round was fueled by 15 pars. He is currently tied for 14th place overall with a 2-over-par, 72-72-144.
Sophomore Andres Acevedo (San Antonio, Texas) has also put together a pair of strong rounds. He is currently tied for 20th place, only one stroke behind Yeom at 3-over-par with a 72-73-145.
Junior Alex McAuley (Douglas, Isle of Man) was four strokes better in round two, using two birdies and 14 pars to fuel an even-par, 71. Through two rounds, he is tied for 25th place with a 4-over-par, 75-71-146.
Freshman Deven Ramanchandran (San Rafael, Calif.) ranks fifth on the Pirates through two rounds, but he had the top second round on the team. Ramachandran had a team-high seven birdies in the second round to fire a 1-under-par, 70. Through two rounds, he is tied for 39th place with a 6-over-par, 78-70-148.
Freshman Tyler Po (Nasipit Cebu City, Philippines), competing as an individual, is currently tied for 31st place with a 5-over-par, 72-75-147.

Four Streams is located on a 300-acre parcel located in the Agricultural Reserve in Montgomery County, Maryland. Four Streams is ranked as one of the top 10 courses in Maryland by Golf Digest and one of the "World's Top 1,000 Golf Courses" by Rolex. In addition, the course has been awarded a Top Golf Architecture Award for Outstanding Design in Maryland.
The Field:
In addition to Seton Hall and Georgetown, the small field includes 10 other schools: Brown, Butler, Florida Atlantic, Navy, Penn, Princeton, Rhode Island, St. Bonaventure, Saint Joseph's and William & Mary.
Tee Times:
The field will play two continuous rounds (36 holes) beginning with an 8:15 a.m. shotgun start on Monday. The Pirates will be paired with golfers from Pennsylvania and Rhode Island for Monday's rounds. On Tuesday, a single final round will be played with again a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
