LAST WEEKEND
Last weekend, the Pirates only had one match and fell to St. John's in three sets at Walsh Gym.
Â
Senior Sophia Coffey (Sierra Madre, Calif.) recorded a double-double, but the Pirates fell to the Red Storm, 3-0 (18-25, 15-25, 16-25), on Senior Night in Walsh Gym, Friday. Coffey had team-highs of 23 assists and 10 digs to go with three kills and a .400 attack percentage in her final career home match. She is only five digs shy of 1,000 for her career with two road matches remaining.

SCOUTING MARQUETTE
Seton Hall and Marquette will meet for the second time this season and 22nd time in history on Friday. The Golden Eagles have dominated the all-time series, owning a 16-5 record, which includes a sweep of The Hall in Walsh Gym earlier this year.
Â
Senior Abby Thelen (Ft. Mitchell, Ky.) had a team-high 10 kills, but the Pirates fell in three sets to Marquette, 3-0 (19-25, 25-19, 22-25), in Walsh Gym on Oct. 13. Thelen had 10 kills, only three attack errors, and four digs. Senior Caitlin Koska (Franklin, Wis.) nearly had a double-double, finishing with seven kills and nine digs.
Â
Marquette enters the weekend as the No. 17 ranked team in the country with a sparkling 24-5 overall record and a 14-2 mark in BIG EAST Conference games. Their lone conference loses came at the hands of No. 9 Creighton. They are 10-3 at Al McGuire Center this season. The Golden Eagles have won five straight matches, including a pair of road sweeps last weekend at Butler and at Xavier. They have won 14 of their last 15 matches. Furthermore, if you exclude its losses to Creighton, Marquette has lost only one set in 14 conference matches.Â
Â
Marquette has already clinched the No. 2 seed in the upcoming BIG EAST Championship.
Â
SCOUTING DE PAUL
Seton Hall and DePaul will meet for the second time this season and 20th time in history on Saturday. The Pirates have won all but one of the prior meetings, owning a commanding 18-1 lead in the all-time series, which includes a sweep of the Blue Demons earlier this year in Walsh Gym.
Â
Junior Haylee Gasser (Mission Viejo, Calif.) tallied a season-high 12 kills, while Koska and Coffey notched double-doubles as the Pirates swept DePaul, 3-0 (25-18, 25-12, 25-16), on Oct. 12.
