
Pirates Battle to Scoreless Draw at Central Connecticut

New Britain, Conn. – Senior goalkeeper Anna MacLean made a season-high 10 saves to secure her fourth clean sheet of the season, as the Seton Hall women's soccer team fought Central Connecticut to a 0-0 draw on Sunday afternoon.
Turning Point
In a game that featured a combined 41 shots, it was the goalkeepers that shined, totaling 19 saves as each team had its fair share of quality chances.
The Pirates (2-3-3) had the majority of their offensive opportunities in the opening half and the beginning of the second frame, at one point holding an 11-3 shot advantage.
However, Central Connecticut (6-1-2) carried momentum during the end of the second half and into overtime. In the final minutes of the first extra period, a Central Connecticut cross found the head of a charging forward, who drilled it off the crossbar before Seton Hall secured the rebound.
