South Orange, N.J. – The Seton Hall women's soccer team could not keep pace with visiting DePaul on Saturday, falling 3-0 in the BIG EAST Conference opener at Owen T. Carroll Field.

Turning Point

For the majority of the opening frame, the Pirates (2-4-4, 0-1-0 BIG EAST) held their own with DePaul (5-3-1, 1-0-0 BIG EAST). However, the Blue Demons got on the board in the 40th minute after a perfectly-placed cross into the center of the box found its way to goal off the head of Franny Cerny for her first of two goals on the afternoon.

In the 74th minute, DePaul added another tally to keep the Pirates at arm's length.
