Road games are difficult, and when you're the No. 12 team in the country, you're going to get everyone's best shot.
That'll be the case Sunday when the Pirates need to rebound from their first loss of the season with a road matchup at Saint Louis Sunday afternoon. The game is expected to be a sell-out with 10,600 rabid Chaifetz Arena fans. The Billikens have won their first three games by an average of 18.3 points and are building confidence. They defeated The Hall on the road last season.
But one thing to keep in mind is: Saint Louis doesn't have Myles Powell.
Powell will keep his Pirates squad focused on the task at hand: don't let Michigan State linger and focus on doing what it takes to come away with a huge road win. It's what No. 12 teams in the country do. Oh, and watch out, he can drop 30-40 points on you at any time.Â
Sunday's game will air on ESPNU with Jordan Bernfield and Kevin Lehman on the call. For the best radio call in the country, hit up AM970 The Answer with Gary Cohen and Dave Popkin, simulcast on Sirius 206, XM 202 and the Pirate Sports Network.
Three Things to Know About Sunday's Matinee at Saint Louis
 1. Forget the Past, Focus on the Present
The Pirates came so close to beating Michigan State, but that game is now in the rearview mirror. It's all about focusing on a talented Saint Louis team. When you're on the road against a good team, it's all about setting the tone early. Come out with the killer instinct, come away with the victory.
Â
2. Look for a Defensive Slugfest
The Pirates have defensive stalwart Quincy McKnight in the backcourt, and the Billikens have Jordan Goodwin. Saint Louis' opponents are averaging 18.3 turnovers a game; Seton Hall's opponents are turning it over 16.3 times a game. It could be the team that wins the turnover battle wins the contest.
 Â
3. Time to Dig in on Rebounding
Seton Hall's defense is holding opponents under 40 percent shooting overall and just over 30 percent from three. But teams are averaging 12 offensive rebounds a game against the Pirates, too many second chance opportunities. The Hall needs to find the ball off the carom and turn defensive stops into one-and-dones.
