Coincidence or destiny?
Seton Hall has only faced Florida A&M one time in its history. That came on Dec. 29, 1991. It took place inside the Florida Sun Coast Dome in Tampa, Fla. You know it better now as Tropicana Field. Led by Luther Wright and his 18 points, the Pirates easily dispatched the Rattlers, 100-59.
In that 1991-92 season, the Pirates played their first two home games at Walsh Gymnasium and hosted a "Blue Blood" program (North Carolina) in the third game of the season. Sound familiar?
Of course, that 1991-92 season ended with a BIG EAST regular season championship and a trip to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen.
You can catch Saturday's game on FS2 with Dave Sims and Sarah Kustok on the call. Or park yourself in front of the radio with Gary Cohen and Dave Popkin calling the game on AM970 The Answer, simulcast on XM 388 and the Pirate Sports Network.
Three Things to Know About Saturday's Matchup With Florida A&M
 1. Time to Show How Great This Defense Can Be
The Pirates are facing an undersized Rattlers team that is 345th out of 353 teams in the nation in offensive efficiency. The Hall should be racking up the deflections, steals and blocks, and remember, the more disruptions on defense, the more easy looks the team will get on offense.
Â
2. Come Out Strong
Seton Hall came out like gangbusters to start the Saint Louis game, and that's exactly what the Pirates need to do against Florida A&M. Intensity for 40 minutes will lead to the result this team wants.
 Â
3. It's Juvenile Diabetes Awareness Day
November is National Diabetes Awareness Month, and the Pirates in conjunction with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation will have information and programming up on the concourse near section 12 on Saturday. For more information on this disease, visit https://www.jdrf.org/.Â
