LAST MEETING
Last season, the Pirates opened the West Palm Beach Invitational with a hard-fought 84-73 defeat to Georgia Tech on Dec. 20 at Palm Beach Atlantic's Rubin Arena. Inja Butina led three Pirates in double-figures with a career-high 21 points in the setback.
Â
The Pirates fell behind early by as many as 19 midway through the second quarter but fought back, getting as close as one point early in the third quarter. The Hall was unable to ever re-take the lead, and a fast start to the fourth quarter for Georgia Tech proved to be the difference.

SCOUTING GEORGIA TECH
The Yellow Jackets are coming off a 17-13 season last year, which included a first-round loss in the ACC Tournament to North Carolina. Georgia Tech went 10-3 in the non-conference before running into difficulty in conference play.
Â
This year, Georgia Tech was picked to finish 10th in the 14-team Atlantic Coast Conference. They enter the Junkanoo Jam with a perfect record of 4-0, which includes an impressive 33-point victory over in-state rival Georgia. The Yellow Jackets are coming off a 69-28 victory over Georgia State on Nov. 20.
Â
Georgia Tech has five players currently averaging in double-figures in scoring and is led by Francesca Pan's 17.5 points per game. The Yellow Jackets' 37.0 opponent points per game is the fewest in the nation.
