Seton Hall will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 9 when it hosts Fairfield at historic Walsh Gymnasium. Game time is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. The contest will be carried live by the Pirate Sports Network and on the radio via 89.5 FM WSOU. It will also be available via live stats.Â

PROMOTION
There will be several promotions for this contest.
- RALLY TOWELL GIVEAWAY – the first 100 fans will receive a Seton Hall rally towel
- TEDDY BEAR TOSS – Fans are encouraged to bring new teddy bears to the game and throw them on the court during the halftime toss. All bears will be donated to the New Jersey foster care system
- TEAM WALKER TURKEY DRIVE – Team Walker will be collecting food donations in Walsh Gym Lobby
- SHIPS DOUBLE-DIP – All Seton Hall students who attend both the women's and men's basketball games on Saturday will receive double SHIPS points
Junior Desiree Elmore (Hartford, Conn.) had a team-high 20 points, and Shadeen Samuels (Ossining, N.Y.) tallied a double-double as the Pirates routed an undermanned Sacred Heart team, 95-69, to open the 2019-20 regular season on Wednesday.

Elmore poured in 20 points on 6-for-9 shooting from the field and made seven of her eight foul shots. She also pulled down nine rebounds, dished out three assists and blocked three shots. Samuels had a double-double with 15 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

The Pirates also got a major boost from two of its star freshmen, Lauren Park-Lane (Hockessin, Del.) and Mya Jackson (Wilmington, Ohio). Park-Lane totaled nine points and six assists with only one turnover and three steals, while Jackson erupted for 16 points on 5-for-7 shooting in just over 16 minutes.

Behind a huge 28-point effort from JaQuan Jackson and a big second half, the Pirates closed their non-conference slate strong with an 80-61 victory over Fairfield on Dec. 21, 2017.

The Hall led by only one at the break, but out-scored Fairfield by a margin of 42-24 in an explosive second half. Jackson scored 18 of her season-high 28 points in the second half, including 14 in the fourth quarter. She shot 11-of-13 from the floor and was 5-of-6 from 3-point range as one of four Pirates to score in double-figures.

SCOUTING SACRED HEART
Fairfield is coming off an 11-20 overall record last season, which ended with a quarterfinal loss to Quinnipiac in the MAAC Championship.Â

This year, the Stags were picked to finish sixth in the 11-team MAAC. They enter the game with an 0-1 record, having lost on opening night to Temple, 77-59.

Seton Hall will return to action on Tuesday when it hosts preseason Atlantic 10 favorite VCU at historic Walsh Gymnasium. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The Pirate Sports Network will provide the video broadcast, and WSOU will be on the radio via 89.5 FM and wsou.net.
