SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Head coach Clay White announced the 2019 Seton Hall men's golf spring schedule on Tuesday. The Pirates will participate in at least six events this spring.
Â
For the third straight year, Seton Hall will open its spring season with the UNCG / Martin Downs Collegiate, February 10-12, at Banyan Creek Golf Club in Palm City, Fla. Last year, The Hall placed 10th with a 34-over-par, 310-295-293-898. Host UNCG ran away with the team title, finishing at 14-under-par. Chris Yeom finished the three-round event as the top Pirate performer, tying for 28th place among 92 individual golfers with a 4-over-par, 74-74-72-220. Two years ago, Gregor Tait (Martlesham Heath, England) won the individual title with a 9-under-par, 67-69-71-207.
Â
The following week, the Pirates will head back to the Loyola Invitational at Palm Valley Golf Course in Goodyear, Ariz. for the fifth consecutive year. Historically, The Hall has shot very low scores at this event. Last year, Gen Nagai tied for second among 100 individual golfers with a 7-under-par, 71-72-66-209. Collectively, the Pirates finished at 1-over-par with a 293-291-281-865.   In 2018, Chris Yeom tied Seton Hall's record for most strokes under par in a tournament with a 13-under-par, 66-69-68-203.

Â
April will feature a pair of old staples on the Pirates' spring schedule, the Princeton Invitational and the Rutherford Intercollegiate. The Hall will return to the nearby Princeton Invitational for an eighth straight year, April 11-12, at Springdale Golf Club. Deven Ramachandran (San Rafael, Calif.) recorded his second career sub-par tournament with a 3-under-par, 71-71-68-210. As a team, the Pirates finished at 2-under-par with a 286-285-279-850. Seton Hall swept both team and individual titles in 2017, with Lloyd Jefferson Go leading the way.
Â
The Rutherford Intercollegiate will be April 18-19 on the Penn State Blue Course in State College, Pa. It will be the fifth straight year for Seton Hall in the field. Last year, Yeom led the Pirates and finished in 16th place among 78 individual golfers with a 73-71-73-217. As a team, Pirates finished with a 21-over-par, 295-288-290-873.
