SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Seton Hall head coach Allison Yaeger officially announced on Tuesday that Taylor Jakubowski (Lake in the Hills, Ill.) and Perri Lucas (Chicago, Ill.) have signed National Letters of Intent and will play women's volleyball at Seton Hall University in the fall of 2020.Â
Â
"We're thrilled to be adding two bright, talented young individuals to our program for 2020," Yaeger said. "Taylor and Perri will fit in perfectly, and I look forward to having them on campus this fall."  Â
Â
A four-year setter for Huntley High School in Illinois, Jakubowski was a force on the volleyball court. A four-time All-Conference and All-Area selection, she helped lead Huntley to four straight regional championships and a pair of conference titles. Jakubowski finished her career with nearly 300 kills, 1,200 digs and over 3,500 assists, which ranks second all-time in the State of Illinois.
Â
Ann offensive powerhouse for Whitney M. Young High School in Chicago, Lucas helped lead her team to a 72-28 record in her three years playing volleyball. A 5-foot-10 outside hitter, she is an All-Conference performer that was named the Most Valuable Player of the Chicago Public Schools Championship Game in 2019. A two-time Academic All-American, Lucas comes from a family of college athletes, including her grandfather who went on to play for the Minnesota Vikings.
