Pirates Host DePaul In Seton Hall vs. Cancer Game

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Final weekend in the friendly confines.

The Seton Hall women's basketball team (14-10, 6-7 BIG EAST) will play its last two home games of the regular season this weekend at Walsh Gym. Before closing with three on the road, the Pirates will host the top two teams in the BIG EAST standings and the league's preseason co-favorites. First up is DePaul (17-7, 8-4 BIG EAST) on Friday night. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. on the BIG EAST Digital Network and FOX Sports app with John Fanta, Kim Adams and Meghan Caffrey on the call.

Friday night is the Seton Hall vs. Cancer pink game presented by RWJ Barnabas Health. The Pirates will be wearing special shooting shirts with personalized names that were auctioned off to benefit the Kay Yow Cancer fund. There will also be pink Seton Hall t-shirts for the first 500 fans in attendance. Fans at the game can visit the marketing table to contribute to the Kay Yow Cancer fund.

The Hall is coming off a tough road swing that saw a pair of late losses at Providence and Creighton, while DePaul most recently swept Villanova and Georgetown in Chicago. The Pirates won the first meeting between the two squads back on Jan. 20 at then-No. 24 DePaul.

The Pirates are 5-18 all-time against DePaul, but are on a one-game winning streak in the series
The Hall notched its marquee win of the season when it last met DePaul, upsetting the then-No. 24 Blue Demons by a score of 84-73 in Chicago on Jan. 20
The Pirates trailed by as many as 12 in the first half, but stormed back to take a two-point halftime lead
The Hall would never trail in the second half, pushing its lead to as many as 13 late in regulation
Shadeen Samuels scored 12 of her game-high 18 points in the decisive fourth quarter to lead five Pirate scorers in double-figures
Inja Butina, Desiree Elmore and Nicole Jimenez all added 15 points while Victoria Cardaci scored 12 and grabbed a career-high seven rebounds

SCOUTING DEPAUL

The Blue Demons visit Walsh Gym with a 17-7 overall record and an 8-4 league mark, sitting tied for second in the league standings
Since falling to the Pirates in the last meeting, DePaul has won four of five with the lone loss a six-point setback to BIG EAST-undefeated Marquette
DePaul is among the national leaders with 82.1 points per game, 11.6 made 3-pointers per game and 19.0 assists per game
Chante Stonewall and Mart'e Grays both average 14.2 points per game, while Ashton Millender is the third player averaging double-figures with 13.0 per game
Kelly Campbell leads the Blue Demons with 7.7 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game
